Silly monsters

Dark Floors (2008)

Had a bad feeling about this when I heard they were planning this. A hard rock band making a horror movie doesn't really sound promising. Well there actually is something hard in the movie, keeping your interest on it as it bores you to death. There's certainly not rock or horror in it. Really a weak performance. The "monsters" are silly at best and the characters are portrayed as puppets for who you have a really hard time to feel anything for. It does look good and some of the scenes are quite eye candy. But that's about all it offers, there's no horror, no characters to feel for, no story. Maybe in a few years when the Lordi hype has settled this one will end up having some camp values. But now it just plain sucks.
