Evil Aliens (2005)
Made fast and with a fairly low budget. Very uneven with some really funny moments but also some quite dull ones too. You can see a lot of reference to Peter Jackson's early works and other horror comedy classics, but this is far from becoming the new Bad Taste or Braindead. All in all quite a pointless splatter comedy that still has it's moments, but they are few and far apart.

Fido (2006)
Every once and a while you come across a movie you had little to none expectations and it turns out to be a masterpiece. Fido was definitely one of those. I thought this was going to be something wannabe funny low budget rip off from some of the zombie classics. Boy was I wrong. The movie is pure brilliance. Covered in candy colors the movie looked awesome. The acting was solid with a bit of over acting, but that fit the 50's mood of the film. The story was just brilliant, after a zombie outburst and a war resulting of it, things have settled in to a status quo for the small cities isolated with fences from the zombie populated wastelands. A company has found a way to tame zombies so they can be used as servants and really household pets. I loved the references to Lassie and other old family movies and the really dark twisted humor of it. Come to think of it, you could replace the zombies with dogs and you'd have a 50's family movie. At some points I laughed so hard I almost choke. Really awesome movie, definitely have to watch it again and if it still works as good as with the first viewing it might even end up to The List.

Dark Star (1974)
Seen this one many times already and still I laugh at some of the scenes in it. It's made with a low budget as a parody to 2001: A Space Odyssey and other sci-fi movies. The slow tempo of the film gets a bit boring at times, but there are some really funny scenes. Especially liked the beach ball creature, it's just hilarious. Also the bomb that questions life itself is just brilliant. The cast is quite good and the directing is solid as you'd expect from John Carpenter. I'm guessing this wasn't the last time I'm going to watch this as it's starting to become a somewhat classic.

Bad Lieutenant (1992)
Probably Harvey Keitel's best performance ever. I know that's saying a lot as he has done some really amazing performances during his career, but he's just something else here. The movie is gritty, dark, raw, powerful and not the easiest to watch. But it fits the story, of a drug addict cop on a downward spiral, superbly. Where the movie fails to score high is the thing that watching human misery for 90 minutes isn't really entertaining. I mean it could be entertaining and especially interesting, but this one just quite isn't. Thou it's definitely worth watching, if nothing else, just for the performance of Keitel.

Tesis (1996)
This was the second time I've seen this and it still worked really well. It's a solid thriller with a great mood in it. The cast was good and they did a solid job, even thou the Chema character (played by Fele Martinez) was a bit too much over the top at times. It's shot really nicely and the music fit the mood dead on. Loved the scene in the dark basement, scary as hell but still you manage to laugh at the jokes. Definitely worth watching.
