Rabbit Hole (2010)
A couple loses their young son and are trying to process the grief in their own ways. That's basically the story in this surprisingly strong drama, but it actually tells a lot more than meets the eye. Even though it's a sad story I was quite surprised how there's even some dark toned comedy in it and especially how well it fit the mood without taking any power from the grief. Also loved how the movie takes on themes that are overly used in other movies like this but makes them feel fresh in the way they are handled. The script is quite brilliant and the dialog is surprisingly fresh. The cast is quite brilliant, Nicole Kidman does one of her strongest performances in this one and the rest of them are no worse. Only bad thing I have to say about this is some individual scenes were a bit over dramatized and felt a bit cheesy. But luckily there were only a couple of those misses and the movie held track quite well otherwise. Not the best of it's kind but strong enough to be well above the average. If you want a moving drama, this is definitely worth watching.
