Faster (2010)
At start it looked like this has the right kind of take no prisoners attitude which I love in action movies. Dwayne Johnson plays this character called Driver and the movie starts with him being released from prison. He runs to collect a car, a gun and info about a target. He goes to a phone marketing company and shoots one of the employees in the head. So yes, the start was quite something. Then we're introduced to a hitman and a washed out drug addict cop. Won't go that much into the plot as it's quite nice at start and less you know the better it works. Unfortunately towards the end the movie loses it's attitude and plays it safe. This makes it become just another fast consumed easy entertainment action flick. The thing is that the story provides a lot of depth to go with and the movie tries to scratch the dramatic surface but fails to bring out anything deeper than your average kindergarden stage play. The big twist in the end is just mind numbing in stupidity and you can see it coming miles away if you use even one of your brain cells. Too bad as the story had it's potential and the characters were quite interesting, but the final result is just utterly dumb.
