A different look into the life of a hit man

Little Odessa (1994)

Don't know why but I saw this the first time just today. Somehow managed to miss it before. But I'm happy I did watch it as it turned out to be quite good. Even though it's a movie about a hit man, it's not an action thriller, it's more a family drama. And that's this movie's strongest part. The characters are quite strong and you get to know them well enough to even care about them. Sure they are kind of stereotypes, but it doesn't matter that much as the great cast gives them their unique touch. The story is nothing special, but then again this is more of a feel movie than a story movie. The movie looks brilliant, the cinematography is almost perfect and some scenes looked absolutely stunning. As a whole it's not a brilliant movie, but it has enough great things to lift it to be an above average drama.
