Out of the box insanity

The Jacket (2005)

Well, the plot had more holes than Swiss cheese, but that didn't bother me as this was quite a good movie. Loved the mood in it, the constant feeling that something's not really right looming around. Also it was surprisingly stylish, the compositions were brilliant and some scenes looked stunning. Thou the flashbacks at start, with the choppy editing, were a bit too much, but luckily they calmed down towards the end. The cast was strong, Adrien Brody of course the most notable, but Keira Knightley and Jennifer Jason Leigh were really good as well. Where this movie fails to be a masterpiece is the plot. I mean the idea was quite intriguing, but it had a bit too many holes in it. Luckily it was interesting enough to keep the movie running and me entertained.
