TRON: Legacy (2010)

Didn't have my expectations up going to see this one. I thought it's going to be audio-visual eye candy with nothing more to offer. That's what it was, but it wasn't a pleasant watch despite it looking and sounding nice. The story is painfully stupid, the dialog was idiotic and it's quite badly acted as well. As a 20 minute short this would have been great, but as a full feature it's just too dull to keep the interest up. I mean I love eye candy, but if it's in a context where absolutely everything else appalls you the end feeling is quite bad. Even though it's been years since I saw the original I got the feeling this was better, but can't say for sure. Good movie it surely isn't, even though I have to give some credit to the music and visual side of it.

TRON (1982)

Well I haven't seen this in about 15 years, so it might have some nostalgic camp value nowadays, but to be honest I'm not too interested in watching it again. Last time I saw this, it was ridiculously stupid. The story didn't hit me at all, I thought it was idiotic nonsense, the costumes were goofy, the dialog was retarded and it even managed to be quite boring. Sure the look was funky and weird enough to make it seem quite original, but that's really not worth watching the whole movie.
