Life on-line

The Social Network (2010)

David Fincher is one of my favourite directors and when I heard he was making a film about facebook I got a bit scared. How the hell can someone make a good movie about that. Well it turned out my fears were needless as it's a solid movie about people and their relationships. And in a way it was interesting to watch it as I didn't know anything about the founder of facebook. Though don't know how accurate this story was but frankly I don't even care as it worked fine for this movie. The direction is brilliant as expected with some very nice scenes that had the Fincher feel in them. The cast was quite good and really nothing to complain in their performance. So all in all it was very entertaining, well done and interesting movie. The problem is that this story about success and how it affects relationships and brings out greed in people has been told so many times I had that feeling all along that I've seen this before. Yet I will give it another try in the future and see how it stands a second viewing.

That was a great movie, one of the best this year tbh, keept me entertained for the whole time. Definitely deserved more then 4/5 ;>

Anyways i'm really cureous about your opinion on Jesse Eisenberg. I think he has great potential, one of the best young actors hollywood has to offer right now.

I don't hate facebook. And the problem here wasn't facebook, it was the too common storyline, poor boy gets rich, loses old friends, gets new ones with bad influences, old friends get greedy, they try to patch things up. Sure it was dressed in a new way but it's still the same story as in most movies about success.

And yes I also think Jesse Eisenberg has a lot of potential, though I would like to see him in a bit more dramatic role. As his roles, at least the ones I've seen, are quite often a bit muted, so to see him let it all out would tell a lot what he's capable of.
